The purpose of A New Kind of Leadership (ANKLe) is to be a catalyst for a new kind of leadership, which the world needs now and in the future.

ANKLe does this by:

Defining what A New Kind of Leadership is
Producing a route map for developing A New Kind of Leader
Designing and making available the opportunities to meet people’s diverse mental, physical emotional and spiritual development needs
Providing a safe support environment and the means for members to explore ideas and consistently gain the help and support they need when they need it
Enabling people to learn from one another, individually and together; taking what we have learned into the word and applying it to real situations to test it out and refine where necessary

We also:

* Design and run leadership development programmes and other events

* Provide workshops on areas relevant to the ANKLe agenda

* Provide one-to-one coaching

* Develop practical ways of helping others in their leadership role and make links with

similar groups and networks around the world.

A New Kind of Leadership’s Declaration of Interdependence developed by its members is as follows:

‘‘It’s more than a network…it allows me to be a whole person…a place to top up and build confidence……a place to help me think things through with people from different organisations…..where I will be held accountable for my personal development goals…I know they will challenge me and help me face up to my fears....it’s a movement…which makes a difference…by developing and endorsing formal learning opportunities which contribute to a new kind of leadership…a place where I can trust the quality, the breadth and the depth…a place to ‘come home’ to check out my thinking, my ideas and assumptions……it shares the values I cherish – love and respect for self and others…a healthy mixture of formal and informal, serious and fun, dreams and reality…it’s organic’
